eCommerce for Microsoft Dynamics GP (formerly Great Plains)

Despite the growing dominance of Microsoft international software market mid-range ERP (Microsoft) do not yet provide an integrated e-commerce for their leading range of business solutions Dynamics.

Historically, Microsoft has an integrated eCommerce for Great Plains and Navision (now known as Dynamics NAV and Dynamics GP), but both were withdrawn. Microsoft is now aiming their users to third party vendors who have developed their own solutions and integrated Dynamics GP and Dynamics NAV.

Dynamics GP for a user there are several third party companies to choose from, most based in the United States or the United Kingdom. The solutions range from increased integration of the basis of sales orders and replication of customer data just the way static contact with an integrated Customer Portal enables customers to empower its employees their spending and re-print invoices , for example.

Companies using Dynamics GP who already have an e-commerce site that you want to change will have to develop the integration of Dynamics GP.

This may be a simple case of importing sales orders from a website in Sales Order Processing module (using relatively simple integration tools as eConnect or Integration Manager) the right of way through a two-way interactive customer portal. At this point, the integration can become very complex and a good technical and functional knowledge of how Dynamics GP works is critical.
