The easy way to get your website indexed by MSN
MSN is the third most popular search engine on the Internet. Even if its position changes at times, is usually one of the 10 most popular sites on the Internet according to Alexa.
Unlike Google and Yahoo, which have detailed information and tools for sending your website to search engines, MSN does not. It simply provides a form where you can submit your URL.
What you say is that they use a crawler to crawl the web and discover new sites. A crawler through the Web looking for new sites and links.
Even if MSN can find your site at the end, I still recommend that you submit. This will help you cover all the bases in the marketing plan search engine.
Another consideration is the type of site you are presenting. If you send a blog, then I suggest you send both MSN and Moreover. The reason is that once had formed a partnership with MSN, also a company of Yahoo, MSN RSS to manage research. As far as I know, this partnership is still in force.
To cover all bases, however, I recommend that if you are sending a blog, then submit both MSN and Moreover. Table blog regularly with Furthermore, since it is a directory popular.
The first step in site preparation for the presentation of MSN is the same as Google and Yahoo: Choose the right keywords and optimize your website for those keywords.
After optimizing the site, then create a sitemap. Even if MSN does not offer you a way to submit your site such as Google and Yahoo do, you can still submit sitemap to MSN. This will help you get your site faster scanning.
When you are ready to submit, go to MSN or some other search engine and type "Send to MSN" (without the quotes). You will find the link to submit your site.
Click on this link. Enter the verification code so that MSN knows that they are human beings. So, you can type the link to your website or link to your sitemap.
If you have RSS feeds or a site map, the next step is to "ping" your feed to get it indexed also. You will need to use a ping service. Sites like Pingomatic will allow you to ping your RSS feed to show the site has also been updated.
Now you've pinged your site (if you have RSS feeds), then you are done. Come back in about 90 days to make sure that the site has been indexed. If not him, then resubmit it again .......
