Unless you've been living under a rock you're almost certainly familiar with Facebook, the most important thing to happen to the MySpace social networking. Launched in February of 2004, only the last year or so that Facebook has become the household name it is today. What the average person may not be aware, however, that Facebook Marketing has recently started to take off, and very large.

With over 62 million active users and growing, Facebook is still a relatively virgin territory for the swarms of internet marketing that, in many accounts, Myspace has become a virtual hell of spam. Rest assured, however, Facebook marketing is just beginning, and you can be sure, marketers are coming. However, there is good news as well as some bad ones.

While the bad news is that Facebook spam is increasing and is almost certainly going to get much worse before it gets better, the good news is that Facebook is not as vulnerable to unsolicited messages as Facebooks and Myspace is the integration of Adwords -like advertising system seems to be promoting a more pleasant environment for users and in turn more profitable for internet marketing.
